Bethel United Church of Christ is a flourishing congregation of Christians located among the rolling farmland hills of Freedom Township in Manchester, Michigan. Bethel is an historical church founded in 1840, that today is a vital and growing congregation of more than 450 members. Our church reflects the diversity of the surrounding communities of Manchester, Saline, Chelsea, Bridgewater, and Ann Arbor. We are a welcoming and diverse congregation - young and old, married and single - that includes both long-time generational members and newcomers. As members of a United Church of Christ, we believe that it is the will of God that every person belongs to a family of faith where they have a strong sense of being valued and loved. Excellent worship, mission outreach, an education program for children, youth and adults, and a strong tradition of congregational fellowship characterize our life as a church.
Bethel Church, as a United Church of Christ, believes that we are called to unite believers from diverse backgrounds in a common mission to serve God in Jesus Christ. The foundation of our beliefs was laid by our early church founders, is instilled in our young people through a vital youth ministry, continues to grow through adult Bible study and activities, and spreads throughout our local community and the wider world through mission and outreach.
